The BEST Birthday Party EVER! Part 3.

Here is the final post on Cupe's birthday party!

I just bought a basic package of party hats from Party City and I added some stickers to them.  I bought these stickers from a seller on Etsy.  These stickers were actually dated in the 90's (I think, I threw away the packaging).  I was a bit worried they wouldn't be sticky but they were!  I was very happy to have found them!

Here's a picture of the party hats displayed with some treats:

The bowl on the left is full of yellow, orange and turquoise gummy bears.  On the right is a plate of white chocolate apples (lowly worm drives an apple car) that I made.  The orange bucket in the middle is full of cookies that Cupe and I made (well, she tasted more than made!).  They are called playdough cookies because of the bright colors, they are really yummy sugar cookies! Here is another picture:

A final birthday party picture! I didn't take a great picture of the things hanging on the curtains but they are yellow, aqua and orange circles that I cut out with the cricut along with circles with the busytown characters.  I attached them to ribbon with my pink ATG gun!

I had so much fun putting this party together and making all the decorations!  My sweet Cupe loved her party so I couldn't be happier!!

The BEST Birthday Party EVER! Part 2.

Cupe's party was not big but I really wanted to have a lot of personal touches throughout the living room, hallway and dining room where we would be spending our time.  Yesterday I showed you some of the pictures I framed to put around the house.  Here are some more personalized touches that I added.

I used Photoshop Elements to create this, just something simple to add a personal touch! I blurred out Cupe's name (I am sure it's not that big of a deal but just wanted to be safe!).

Here is subway art I made:

This was also made using Photoshop Elements.  I actually got the idea from Alison at Oopsey Daisy.  I personalized it by adding nicknames and her favorite things.  I love subway art!!

Here's the Cake/Cupcake Table:

Isn't the cake adorable?  I didn't make her cake this year.  I knew that I would have major time issues if I did so I ordered it from a wonderful bakery!  I did make all of the other treats for her party though including the cupcakes that are around the cake! The buckets are party favors for the kids. They have a giant lollipop with a label I made Thanking them for celebrating with Cupe.  The jars are cupcakes (yes, I made them!) for the adults to take home with them.  They have a thank you label on the top.  Here's a cupcake in the jar close-up:

They are very easy and fun to make! They are homemade vanilla cupcakes with homemade buttercream frosting!

I will post part 3 of cupe's party soon!

Little cupe's 3rd Birthday

A few months ago my precious little cupe turned 3. She loves Winnie the Pooh so I bought the Pooh and Friends cart and went to work! I made centerpieces that were also party favors. I don't know who loved them more, the adults at the party or the kids! My birthday girl loved them the most, she wanted to keep them all...but finally I coaxed her into giving them up by bribing her with an extra piece of cake!

Sorry if the pictures aren't the best, I sometimes have trouble with my camera (but I'm learning). I cut out the characters and the bees with my cricut and assembled them. I outlined the bee's wings with stickles and then filled them in with Glossy Accents. I then attached the pieces to Winnie-the-Pooh pencils that I bought at Party City.

Winnie the Pooh and Piglet:

Eeyore and Lumpy:

Tigger and Roo:

Here's a picture of all three centerpieces:

I found these cute buckets in the dollar bins at Target, aren't they cute? I added the yellow cellophane so it would look "hunny-ish" and then put floral styrofoam on the buttom of the buckets so the pencils would stay put. I filled the buckets with all kinds of fun stuff for the kids: stickers, punch balloons, whistles (what was I thinking?!), crayons, figurines, and candy. For the "Hunny" on the buckets, I used the Hunny Jar from the Pooh and Friends cart and just used the "Hunny" letters. I actually had intended to use the whole jar but found that just the letters were much more cute!
