A Grouchy Birthday!

My nephew is turning 4 this week and I wanted to make him a special card to send out with his gift!  A haven't used my Sesame Street cart very much so I wanted to use it for his card.  Every 4 year old loves Sesame Street....right?!  Okay, so that really isn't true, my little cupe does not really care for Sesame Street...but my nephew really does!  Okay, anyway, here is the card:

It is a 5 x 7 card (yellow cardstock) with paper from Sizzix that I have had forever.  Oscar is cut from plain cardstock in the appropriate colors.  I used my Gypsy to weld together the letters for happy birthday from the Sesame Street fonts cart.  The ribbon is from the dollar spot at Target.

For the inside of the card I used stamps from a stamp set I had.  I don't usually use stamps because I really don't have the best luck with them but in this case I thought I would try!  I hope he enjoys the card, probably not as much as his gift though!  What kid really enjoys a card?!

Pink Stamper Challenge

I love when the Pink Stamper has challenges.  I have so much fun making my cards for it.  There are so many great cards submitted for the challenges and I don't think mine are very fancy or anything but I still enjoy making them!  So here is my submission for the Pink Stamper's latest birthday challenge:

The cake is cut using the Gypsy Smiley Cards download.  I haven't used it yet so I thought I would for this challenge.  It's cut at 4 3/4".  The card itself is 5x7.  Happy Birthday is cut using the Gypsy Wanderings cartridge.  The printed paper is from a Tinkerbell pack that I have had for a while now.

Here's the inside:

Hope you enjoyed!! Have a wonderful day!!

Soo Big!

Hi all! I wanted to share a new card I made using the Paisley cartridge.  This cartridge is so cute, I really like the variety on it.

This is an A7 size card (folded it is a 7" x 5" card). The giraffe is cut from the Paisley cartridge. It's cut at 3 inches. The giraffe actually had leaves in it's mouth but I cut that off.  I also added some hooves to the giraffe's feet! I used glossy accents on the pink parts (the mouth, tail, antlers and flowers) to make them pop a bit. I attached the giraffe to the card using Pop Dots to give it more dimension.

I used the Pooh Fonts cartridge for "Soo Big". I cut it at 3/4".  I used glossy accents on the letters to make them pop and coordinate with the giraffe.
The flower cardstock is from the DCWV Pocket Full of Posies matstack and the ribbon is from the dollar section at Target. I used the EK Success Scalloped Diamond Edger Punch on the flower cardstock.
I love the bright colors against the brown! I hope everyone is having a great weekend!
